2. Data We Collect

• Account information — name, email address, hashed password (for credential-based accounts)
• OAuth data — profile information provided by Apple or Google when you sign in via OAuth
• Uploaded files — audio/video files you submit for transcription, stored in Google Cloud Storage
• Transcription results — text output from processing your files
• Billing data — managed by Stripe; we store your Stripe customer ID and subscription metadata
• Usage data — minutes consumed per billing period

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on:

• Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — providing the transcription service you signed up for
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — where required, for example for analytics cookies on this website
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — preventing fraud and ensuring security

4. Third-Party Processors

• Google Cloud Platform — file storage and database hosting (EU region)
• OpenAI — audio transcription processing
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• Google Analytics — website analytics (opt-in only)

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data, files, transcriptions, and billing records are permanently deleted from our systems and from Stripe within 30 days.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access — view your data via Settings and invoice history
• Rectification — update your profile information in Settings
• Erasure — delete your account and all associated data from Settings
• Portability — download your transcription data and invoices
• Object / Restrict — contact us to restrict or object to processing
