0. Provider

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Scriptie ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Scriptie provides automated audio and video transcription services. Files you upload are processed using third-party AI services (OpenAI) and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Each plan includes a fixed number of transcription minutes per billing period. Minutes used beyond the included allowance are charged at the overage rate specified for your plan.

Upgrades take effect once you complete payment and are charged the price difference between your current and new plan. Your usage is not reset upon upgrading.

Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain your current allowance until then.

Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You may resume at any time before the period ends.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all files you upload. By uploading content you grant Scriptie a limited licence to process it for transcription. We do not use your content for training AI models.

5. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, all your data (files, transcriptions, billing records) is permanently removed from our systems and from Stripe.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. Scriptie's total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, in accordance with EU regulations including the GDPR.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance.
